• "When I was told in October of 2024 that I may have a blood disorder, I had to find a Hematologist fast. My sister gave me the name of a doctor her friend was seeing at Astera Cancer Center. I called the center to request this doctor and few days later, they sent me Dr. Patel's information. I have to say I was a bit disappointed but my first visit with Dr. Patel, proved that he was the right doctor for me. He took his time to explain what the blood results from Function Health could mean and told me he has to get some more blood tests before he can confirm the diagnosis and have a treatment plan for my case. I remember I interrupted him few times and every time I interrupt him; he would just stop to listen with a smile on his face. He struck me that day as a very humble, patient, calm yet a very knowledgeable doctor. When I told him I reversed so many health problems on a vegan diet between 1997 and 2010, he looked at me with and said: "Go back to vegan". That was more of a confirmation that it was God who led me to Dr. Patel. While waiting on the blood results, I had to go to ER. That first night at the hospital, I was so tired and couldn't sleep most of the night. Around 6 AM while I was crying after reading an encouraging note from a friend who has been suffering for the last 3 years from health problems, I looked up and saw Dr. Patel standing by my bed. He grabbed the tissue box, opened it and handed me 2 tissues and stood there quietly until I was ready to talk. I was touched by your kindness, Dr. Patel. May God bless you!"
