Dr. & Mrs. Michael & Marlene Nissenblatt Co-Chaired the American Cancer Society's 39th Annual Night of Wine & Roses Gala, held on May 9. The event was a great success, drawing nearly 500 attendees and raising over $565,000.
"There’s No Place Like Hope” was the theme as all honored individuals in our communities who exemplify heart, courage, and innovation in our progress against cancer: Drs. Judith & Louis Amorosa, Medical Honorees and The Cheng Family, 8th Annual Judith A. Hoffman Humanitarian Award recipients.
Jennifer Matkowsky, an Astera Cancer Care Medical Assistant, delighted attendees by joining the ACS event as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, perfectly complementing the Emerald City décor. With generous donors and the enchanting atmosphere, the event reminded us that true magic comes from kindness and giving to fight cancer.
