Making a Referral

Whether you’re a medical oncologist, surgeon, urologist, pulmonologist, primary care physician or any other type of specialist, Astera Cancer Care shares your commitment to the most appropriate and effective course of treatments. We work with most major medical insurance companies and call patients directly to set up appointments. Find the appropriate specialty referral center below and take advantage of any online forms that may ease the new client registration process.

For Medical Oncology & Hematology

If you have a patient in need of hematology, chemotherapy, surgery, CAR T-cell therapy, or clinical trial participation, we are ready to assist:

  • Call us at 732-390-7750
  • Fax all relevant medical records to 732-390-7725, including imaging results, surgeries and history from previous doctors or specialists.
  • You or your patient may also use our online contact form and we will reach out directly to your patient shortly.
  • Please note with us or your patient whether they are being referred for hematology or oncology.

For Radiation Oncology

If you think your patient is a candidate for and could benefit from advancements in radiation technologies, we want to help:

  • Call us at 609-655-5755 for radiation referrals.
  • You or your patient may also use the radiation oncology contact form and we will reach out directly to your patient shortly.
  • When sending us medical records, please include the most recent imaging results, surgeries, and records from all current doctors.
  • Please note whether your patient is coming to us from physician care within Astera or through a different medical group.

For Breast Surgery

If you think your patient is a candidate for and could benefit from breast surgery for benign or malignant tumors:

  • Call us at 732-846-3300 for breast surgery referrals.
  • Please note whether your patient is coming to us from physician care within Astera or through a different medical group.

For Infusion Therapy

Regardless of the condition or medical specialty, Astera Infusion Therapy offers infusion therapy. Once you have determined a treatment plan for your patient that includes infusion therapy, we ask that you download and send us the appropriate referral form.
