“What matters most to you is what matters the most to me. Ideally, cancer care is evidence-based along with a personalized plan that meets your unique character and needs. The intention of Palliative and Supportive Care is to focus solely on relieving the stress and suffering associated with cancer and its treatment. As Department Director, my hope is that our patients and families feel cared about and their uniqueness is reflected in the care they receive from our entire team. As a provider, my concentration is on thorough pain and symptom management, linking your social and spiritual support needs to your care and assisting you with making important medical decisions. Palliative care is available for all our patients, regardless of cancer type or stage. All Astera physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants provide aspects of palliative care in their routine care, however it is exciting to be a part of a practice that wants to offer more and have committed to a program that focuses on your experience and that of those you love. As a board-certified Palliative Medicine provider, I look forward to complimenting your care by ensuring you receive specialty-level palliative care during your cancer journey.”
